Pop Culture Puzzle and Quizlet

  On my Val's World Wide Web Word Find Puzzle Pages, I have three original word find puzzles, which feature pop culture icons Michael Jackson, Hercules & Xena, and Janet Jackson. With those puzzles, you're given a clue and also a place to surf to on the internet, in order to guess the word that you have to find in the puzzle.

With the puzzle below, though -- which was created by the literally mind-bubbling Mike Hall (see the gif at his page!), whose own web site is at BrainJar.com -- the words are already provided, but you can find, choose, and select the words right on your screen, through the magic of Java! And the puzzle's different every time. It's fun, it's cool, it's interesting!

Mike Hall explains: To play, just hit the 'New Game' button, then drag your mouse over the grid to select a word. Once found, words will remain circled. If you get stuck, hit 'Solve Game'.

My current puzzle is the usual cornucopia of pop culture, with a focus on music.

One is on Latin musical artists, partially in honor to the landslide (!) of well-deserved (and long overdue) honors, especially Grammy awards, bestowed upon legendary guitarist, Carlos Santana for his album, Supernatural.

The other is on boy bands; Backstreet Boys, 'NSYNC, 98 Degrees, the Jackson Five, New Edition, and Boyz II Men -- all of them and more are in the puzzle.

The third category is teen girl vocalists, which includes the ubiquitous Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, as well as Mya and Aaliyah, and LeAnn Rimes and Alecia Elliott. 

And the new category is girl groups, which have become more popular than ever, as Destiny's Child, TLC, the Spice Girls, and new group, Dream, build on the foundation laid by the Supremes, the Ronettes, the Emotions, Expose', and SWV.
